This looks like it's slowly going down the "PC is Superior to Consoles" road. Your other posts seem to have hints of that, if not straight out implying it. You could keep claiming that you're just trying to promote awareness, however it's starting to look like you have an ulterior motive around the forums.

This. This thing would have been locked off the bat if it was between 360 and PS3.

The original SOCOM still has players on all day. Games do die a quicker death on consoles but thats because theres a lot more high profile games being released all the time. PC gamers tend to stick with their favorite games. I played a game of Counterstrike on the original Xbox and there still people playing that too. I guess things move faster on the console. Either way you can expect great games on both platforms.

The thing is that he's like watching the Coyote trying to stop the Road Runner. Not really a troll, just a Don Quixote-type chasing his windmill.

BTW, I don't play online, and while I started out as a PC gamer, I have moved onto the 360. I've never looked back. The thing I like that PC games cannot match is that I can play as many different games as I want to in a single afternoon; whereas I can only load so many games onto my PC's harddrive.

PC games are cool, console games are cool. Play both.

Before Killzone 2 came out, I tried Killzone 1 online on my PS3 and still found a lot of people playing it.

I think what people are missing is that the gaming industry is moving further and further toward a "disposable" model of entertainment. They don't want you playing their title a few years after release. They don't want the long-term communities that build up around titles on the PC. They don't want to offer free DLC.

What they want is the console experience, where you pay for DLC and where online play dries up, or gets turned off by the publisher, and you migrate to the next $60+ game and DLC. Online multiplayer communities are so fundamentally different between consoles and the PC, and the console approach means they can pump out a new title yearly and let the old one die, or turn off its life support.

Just wanted to say, wow you have issues and you are an idiot. And before you ask I am a PC gamer, I just recently bought a Core i7-820QM and plan on maybe getting a 295 vid card.

If you want to "promote" our "cause" then I suggest whenever you sit by the computer and the "I gotta support my hobby on the X-Play forums!" bug, fight the urge to type a post with every fiber of your being because YOU ARE NOT HELPING.

You are continuing to promote the stereotype of PC gamers being elitist assholes. And your post(s) are NOT helping our image AT ALL. And I wish I could remove the keyboards from users as yourself and those of console zealots so these stupid threads that really boil down to "look how much bigger my e-penis is compared to yours!" would die off. And in hopes that people would begin to realize that its not the rig you play your games on that matters, but the fact that you play games, and that alone unites our community, PC and console gamers alike.

Yeah Aciphex, I get tired of PC Elitists going off on me just because I bought the 360 version of Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars....give it a rest. I'm use to buying the console version for a few reasons....cost being the first. Also I use to have a fairly underpowered PC and getting either the 360 or PS3 version usually made a lot more sense. At this point I do own a Quad Core that plays most games easily but hard habits are hard to break. My advice to you is just keep playing your PC and enjoy it. I know everyone has an opinion about PC Vs Console Vs the other Console but maybe you should just let it go for now.
