Welcome to the Anime Sig Thread!!! This is where you can request for anime signatures.

<u>Rules and Guidlines:</u>

1. Feel free to request any sig, but remember we only do ANIME.
2. Make your request simple, straight, and all in one post.

E.G.
Theme: Gunslinger Girl
I would also like to have my user-name on the bottom of the sig.

3. Please be respectful.

4. Keep the conversations low. We have a 300 post rule. Well, more or less we do but after the site went through an overhaul, things have been laxed lately.

For those who don't know, you have to host the sig on an image-hosting site. Here are 3 commonly used file-hosting sites that are free:

It has been appearent that some of us haven't been very active in taking requests here. So making a request might take some time. A) Everybody else on the noob list either doesn't come anymore or hasn't gotten any better

If i made a sig similair to the one i made just now in Photoshop, its still the same style, regardless of waht i used to make it. its the same style, and its annoying. by happy that i dislike his sig more than im annoyed by yours i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif

well, ive learned one thing tonight. i cant use photosop to save my life. i cant find half th etools (like the bucket fill, WTF?) cropping is weird cuz it doesnt resize the layer along with the image that is left. the advanced tool options i couldnt find, and when i did, it made no sense. selecting thins is weird, and i am just having a hard time with it.

so basically : Screw photoshop, i have GIMP

Right click on some of the tools, if you right click on the gradient tool you get the paint bucket. Photoshop's pretty easy once you know where things are, I suggest you keep working your way around figuring it out, but that's just my suggestion.

No, there is nothing in common between my old style and that one. I don't use the grunge (sp?) backround or anything.

Only reason I still somewhat use photoshop is because of the filters and layer modes

Well a few of the PS filters can be found by doing Right Click -&gt; Filters -&gt; Artistic -&gt; GIMPressionist

At least I think that's the right path, I don't have GIMP open right now.

I'm surprised I'm the first to actually do this. We used to always have to critique before voting. i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif

LRB: The red, green, and yellow part bugs me, but otherwise quite an impressive tag for 20 minutes.
AGN: Too blurry for my taste and I find the size displeasing.
Pyro: I'm enjoying this new style you're tinkering with, (Henrietta is amazing) but I don't think it works well with this one. It's either the washed out color or the stock or the combination of both, but something irks me about it.
Teh_mastersword: I haven't seen much of your work, but this looks pretty good. It looks a little overtly lightened around the stock and the blue behind the sword seems thrown is as an afterthought. The sword is rather jaggy too.
Charade: This could've been a really good tag from you, but those jagged red lines are terrible. The circles without stroke are good and what background you have is a decent start. I know you haven't used ps in awhile and I know what that's like. I hope you reopen the PSD to this bad boy up, once you get it down again, and retouch it up.
Priest_Revan: I, for one, see a difference in this work as opposed to your others. However, I also see hints of your grungey style in it. For example, the scan lines in the corner. It looks overly dodged as well. Not a big fan of the size of it in general. Blending is subtle and nice.
Fuu: Well you said a surprise and I was certainly surprised. You have a c4d in there, right? I just hope you made the c4d and didn't pick it up from a site. I enjoy the subtleness to the left. Not a big fan of the light circles (wtf is circles becoming the new fad or something?) on the right.
XtremeGamePlayer: I like the colors, but I'm not a fan of it at all, but you move on in the competition anyway. i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif

Well it's official I'm up **** creek this time. -_-, Even if I sharpened it, it wouldn't change the overall sig. I went with the size of the sig with how the stock was, so therefore I could put Sasuke in the center with his left side obviously brighter, when I used the gaussian blur on part of the sig it had made it that dark, which then led me to using another one of my Sasuke stocks with the Uchiha fan shown more to the left side of the sig to give it a little more design.
Blurred once more to change it a little, could've changed the brightness and contrast but oh well wouldnt've made a difference, even setting a layer to lighten wouldn't really change it in any major way. But meh, 20 minutes is nice for ur sig LRB, gj on the win. i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif

Background is nice... but I wish that I could see more a sakura or that she was blended better.

Alright who are the 3 bitches that are horny?

Here's what you gotta do. Make a signature, 400x100 pixels. Has to be a solid color or gradient background. No effects are to be done to the bg. Either fill it in with a color, or drag your mouse to make a gradient. Next, (or before the bg) find a stock, cut it out, and slap it on the background. Do not duplicate it, do not use a blend mode or blending options. Next, put some text on. Voila, you're done!

This signature will test your skills of composition. You must place the stock and the text in the right places to make the signature look effective, and take up the right amount of space. It must be 400x100 pixels. Otherwise you'd make the bitch 200x50 pixles so you could fill everything up, lazy little ****s. You should have 3 layers (bg, stock, text) No effects may be applied to anything. No blend modes, no filters, nothing. This will also test your knowledge on color theory. No black and white **** with a color balance at the end to make everything blend well. If your bg is blue and green your stock better not be orange and purple.

This is due Monday at 12pm. If you have school I laugh at you, cuz I have no classes Monday. If you have school, get the bitch to me on Sunday.

Obviously you would cut out the stock better.

Point is, the bg has to be either a solid color or a gradient. No effects on the stock. You just cut it out and put on there. Text has no effects. Pick a color, type the text, move it where you want it. Use up space well without over doing it. You can have two things of text, that is it. No quotes, or song lyrics, just two words.

I had to do a 5 page paper, make a 9 Step Scale (grayscale) by mixing black and white paint (2in x 1in pieces) I then had to make a larger scale using half a page of paper. I then had to mix those same colors and fill a jar with em.

Don't tell me you were busy over the weekend.

I had to make a DNA strand in bio too. And if that is the only thing you had to do all weekend I feel bad for you. It should not take anyone 48 hours to make a DNA mode. I did mine in less than 5 hours, and I got an A. I used pieces from my K'Nex rollercoaster.

Pyro, that's your opinion. I like it, and I was going for something different. I may tweak a few things since we know have an extension but the basic make-up will stay the same.

Ugh that kinda does look like Short's.
I was just playing around with displacements mostly, I always use "girl colors" these days.
Short's style is more... better. And clean.
I don't think I'm quite done with that, might go back and work with it more, but that's the version I'm using for the tournament.

And Fuu, even if I did feel like writing a tut, I don't think I could remember the steps.
My sigs are basically just working and experimenting with different things for 2 hours until I get something that I think looks cool.
I mostly use pen tool and gradients.
