Who else believes the Pokemon series sucks now?

Don't get me wrong, I like the Pokemon games and all, but the show just sucks now. It's grown bland, repetitive and over all way too predictable.

This is a summary of every episode of Pokemon from here on in:

Ash comes across some guy/girl that has a problem with his pokemon/himslef. Ash trys to solves the guy's/girl's/pokemon's problem but fails to do so at first. Mean while, Team rocket provide tasteless comic relief and plan to steal Ash's/guy's/girl's Pokemon. Team rocket manage steal the Pokemon, but Ash, with the help of Pikachu's Thunderdick, rescue the Pokemon before the conclusion of the episode. Everyone gets a good lol and the episode is over.

I can't see how the series could get ANY better.

Pokemon isn't really that bad a show, but the storyline is pretty much regurgitated season after
season (save for the 1st and 2nd seasons, I thought they were OK). The creators really need to
come up with some new material for the show.

EDIT: Screw it, i'm mixing up seasons. Every season was awesome.

I loved the Devas, The 4 digimon (Azulongmon, Baihumon, turtle with the tree, red bird thing), Fusing digimon, The season with those powerful digimon, Piedmon, Metalseadramon, Machindramon, Puppetmon, and whoever else. Malomyotismon was cool.

Never did see how they defeated the D-Reaper or Lucemon. I'll have to watch those episodes.

well honestly... ash was never a truly appealing character in the anime... he was just kind of a bleh character he acted the same in every situation presented to him, the only true bit of humor in pokemon was brock's ahem i don't know how to put it neverending attraction to nurse joy and officer jenny... it got old... honestly pokemon as an anime had a good design and the animation wasn't bad the creators just didn't give it enough... umph. And hey stop talking bout Digimon in this thread so what if it was better which it was... thread jacking is WRONG...

Agreed, the show is not about to adjust to a new setting anytime soon, and that may just change the show's image.

Actually i liked the aditional 100 monsters, they werent so bad, heck some of the 100 more were interesting like Metagross and Salamence, Jumpluff, Furret...The 2nd gen starters werent bad either becuase they all looked so cool. But the 3rd gen didnt appeal so much, Torchic was cool but the evolutions kinda didnt. Treecko's looks kinda bad. and mudkip, i kinda like that guy. BUT the 4th gen evolution looks uglier. THough my minds on the monkey one. Yeah, the monster design seems to decline every gen somewhere but im always open minded to new ones.

Tell Ash Releasing his pokemon is STUPID!
Team Rocket shouldnt be the villains anymore
Team ROcket should be more evil and win most of the time
Tell Ash to catch every monster he sees, legendaries included
Add more Fan Service (maybe)
Ash should win all those Season-ending tournaments<hr></blockquote>

fan service is horrible though, and what would it be in pokemon shots of misty a what 12-14 year old girl with her shirt hanging down or panty shots... yeah thats gonna happen... I can see it now Pokemon the unrated version (since everything in America apparently needs an unrated version) Oh sweetie you want to buy Pokemon why certainly, may contain graphic violence and naked shots of 12 year old girls... well of course you can have it sweetie... but anyways are we seriously still talking about this... it doesn't need to be discussed any further than Pokemon sucks now and pretty much always did the only thing the creators of pokemon were ever good at were gameboy games...

If all this were integrated into future Pokemon episodes, that would change the image of the show. Least you forget, the seasons of the show follows a track from Ash getting new Pokemon, to competing in the final tournaments. I believe that's the trend that Pokemon shows follow, and not likely to change anytime soon.

I cannot belive that I used to watch the crappy dub, so I want to watch the original Japanese version. The thing is that finding the episodes would be very difficult.
Oh, well at least Nintendo does not makes the games crappy.

Well the whole entire series up through Johto and the beginning of Hoen had better dub. The newest one, because 4kids dropped it, is even worse then the one before. The first time I prayed for 4kids to get back in the game.

Realistically the title is getting rather long in the tooth, dub issues ore no dub issues.

Any title settles into a comfortable pit after a certain numer of years. Everyone has their signature moves that the audience expects to hear & see with regularity.

dont laugh but i really like pokemon but the pokemon CN has been airing is like the same plot over and over and over and over and over and over and over and..... for for 5000 episodes..
lets see they travel, team rocket trys to steal pokemon, they battle and get lanched in air. hehe

Well that trend is likely to continue, if that trend were to change then that would change the Pokemon series image.

I'm betting the new season of Pokemon coming up should be great.

Well the new VAs do *****ing suck.I don't even watch Pokemon anymore because of them.


But Cartoon Network actually started off with one of the best arcs in the Pokemon anime,Battle Frontier.Ash got to battle with legendaries in BF,namely Articuno,Regirock,Registeel,and Regice.Hell,we even got to see Evil Ash in this arc.It should be noted though,that the first couple of episodes originally aired on KidsWb and still used the original VAs.Once it started airing on CN as 'Battle Frontier',that's when Pokemon USA took over.


And even though I haven't kept up with the Diamond and Pearl series,it's weird that Team Galactic hasn't shown up yet.In the new D/P games,the Team Galactic leader,Akagi, tries to destory the universe and recreate an entire new one while turning himself into a God.




Anyway,seeing as how there's already a Pokemon thread up,I guess I'll post the trailer for 10th Pokemon Movie.
