Was it? Because I stoped seeing it.
I know this might be obvious but I just don't know.

Our no one in their right minds would be on the show.

I think perhaps people realized that it is tough to really enjoy this (http://www.entertonement.com/clips/2297)too long. I thought it was hilarious, but still.

(Tivo has no upcoming episodes of it, but it looks like it needs to call in soon, too)

Its due to the season being over, Neal said it himself that there are no more new episodes. (well until they make more) It might not be canceled, but it isn't coming back until the new episodes are made.
But there is a possibility this show got canned all together, since there are NO reruns of Hurl. Ever.

G4 seems to like buying shows that have no ability to do a second season. See, "hurling" involves putting vomit on carnival rides. Such rides then fail state inspections for bacterial contamination. You broke it, you bought it.
The show would be way too expensive if it bought instead of rented its rides... but after word of this filming got out, no ride owner will ever rent to them again. Show dead.

God, I hope so.

Yes it is. If G4 had any interest in continuing with it, we probably would have seen a second season this year. Ratings must not have been on the up and up throughout the season. It was a very interesting concept but it appears they were more interested with other ideas.
Plus if you put together the fact that Stay out of the Sun Summer was a complete bust all around and that their growth streak was smashed because of this campaign it's better to let sleeping dogs lie..dead.

Really, this place is falling out of sync with what's on-air. When a show is pulled, it's forum should really be buried.

Agree 100%. Shows that have made their way to the graves should have their forums pulled. I'm talking to you Midnight Spank. Can anyone hear the echos in there? I've noticed some message boards stretching out longer than what is really necessary and that its maintenence is second banana to the network. People at G4 really need to be keeping a lock on with that to the best of their ability.

I do believe that Hurl got G4 its first big mention in TV Guide, so at least something came of it. Almost all of their new shows since then have gotten a mention in the highlights of the week page.

I don't think it was the format that was bad but I'm sure the "Hurling Rains" struck a nerve with some. If they can come up with a game show without a heavy emphasis on the spewstorm, it would most likely click with the audience but Hurl gave it a great effort.

Why was this show canceled? I don't know for sure. But perhaps somebody in some programming meeting stood up one day and said, "You know, I think we're better than this. Sure, the trend on television seems to be to put out content for the absolute lowest common denominator in our society, no matter how infantile and disgusting. But maybe if we stop catering to morons who think watching somebody vomit is entertainment, we could actually play a very small part in salvaging what's left of the once noble civilization of humankind. Now pass me those spicy cheeseburger flavored Pringles, Ralph."
