While the coverage you guys did of Comic Con was decent .. I really question some of the "jokes" you kept making. For a guy who works for a channel for gamers, the number of disparaging comments you made about gamers in general was pretty high. It ran the gambit of time old things .. jokes about gamers not washing, jokes about gamers never having sex, living in parents basements .. I mean come on. You do realize that not all gamers are in that stereotype right? It was actually kind of insulting to have to sit there and listen to that, while trying to get the information on what was going on at Comic Con.

I would just ask, politely .. to take a page from Olivia. She never says anything bad about gamers, or gamer culture. She makes jokes, but they're tasteful, and not trying to put anyone down. We gamers don't have a lot of choice but to watch G4, it's really the only gamer channel out there to get news and things .. but just because you're the only choice, doesn't mean you can do whatever you want and get away with it. Yes, you may be getting ratings .. but that's because there's no real competition.

Please, be careful of the jokes you make .. you turned (at least for me) what could have been a fun 3 hour show, into a rollercoaster of fun and funny .. to annoyed and pissed off. Just try to be a little more mindful of your audience please? That's all I'm asking.

honestly i think Kev and Olivia are hilarious. I saw nothing wrong with him making those jokes that are based in a stereotype that gamers have created and LIVED UP TO for the most part. I ran into Kevin on the street during comic-con and he was extremely modest and down to earth in the small exchange we had.

I think his jokes are funny and he seemingly is a nice guy.

I watched the whole thing and yea Kevin told jokes. I wasn't offended at all at any of the jokes Kevin made. Here's a news flash, Kevin is in ENTERTAINMENT it is his job to entertain. And for the love of god you must be blind, deaf or retarded if you think Olivia's jokes are tasteful. They are practically the same jokes, you just say they're tasteful to kiss some ass. I'm fairly disappointed that the best most people could come up with was more of the same crap. No, those things did not apply to me. I do not live in my parents basement, I take regular showers, and I've even had sex. What I was trying to get across, is that for channel that's supposed to cater to gamers and gamer culture, how does it do them any good to put down the same group of people they're supposed to be entertaining.

It's one thing to laugh at yourself, I don't have a problem with that. It's a whole other thing to have to listen to the same tired cliche jokes we always hear about gamers, from the hosts of shows on the gamer channel. Honestly, I think they could do better. Usually, I like to think that gamers are pretty intelligent people (though some of the posts in this thread have me wondering), so instead of falling back on the same crap and calling it "funny" .. I'd like to think they could actually .. I don't know .. make an effort .. and make jokes that aren't putting anyone down constantly. Quite frankly, I'm disappointed that it seems like everyone is really okay with having the television representatives of our "gaming culture", spending their time putting down parts of the group they're supposed to be representing.

it's a cut throat world my friend many times in history people that were the reps for a group of people have exploited that group for the entertainment etc i personally don't believe the jokes were to be hurtful they read the lines off of a prompter so don't blame kevin and olivia blame the writers. enough said :toast::D
