Should I Get a Xbox 360

I have a PS3 but I have been thinking about getting a X360 since all of my friend have one. I get bored of Playing Killzone 2, MW, WaW with total stranger. I heard great thing about the X360, but the red ring of death, and the overheating problem makes me have second thought. Also the x360 seems pricy compared to the PS3. What X360 should i get?

i have not had one problem with overheating or the rrod
if you do buy a 360, buy a nyko ex intercooler and you should be fine

Since most 360 now are chipped with Jasper, you shouldn't worry too much about RRoD as long as you don't block the exhaust port and try not to play your 360 on any heat absorbing material like a bed sheet. Although your less likely to get RRoD on the new Jasper chip, it does not necessarily mean you won't get it if you didn't take care of your 360. So add care and you shouldn't have any trouble.

I had the same silly thought too. Go with the jasper and of guess the elite bundle with halo 3 and fable 2. But don't put money on the 360 until you've gotten inFAMOUS though.

I heard those actually make it hotter. :eek: Just avoid cramming it in a box that blocks the vents and vacuum the dust off it every now and then. It should be fine.

I say if you want to buy one, go ahead. Alot of good games for it are available for low price around the $30 range (cept for the popular online shooters that are STILL $60) and you'll be able to play with your friends.

er... whats this Jasper??? No RRoD? I have currently my 3rd Xbox 360... my first one I got on launch Nov 20th 2005.... lasted till last year when it had an internal issue with the A/V (nothing RRoD related or overheating or any thing like that). They couldnt fix it so they gave me a new one.... it got RRoD in like 7 or 8 months.... got this one I currently have now that I havent had all that long... and boy Im like almost waiting for the RRoD for some reason now... my first 360 was soooooooooo good... my 2nd soooooooooo bad..... my 3rd? yet to be determined.....

Anyways where is this exhaust port that shouldnt be blocked exactly? So I dont block it unintentionally...

Exhaust port is at the back its the one besides the TV connector port, also don't block the intake which is in the right side, that's why its also not advice to make your 360 vertically stand coz that will block the intake.

I wish Jasper didn't RRoD but my friend is famous in repairing 360 here in the Philippines (coz we get no MS support) and he still gets Jasper that RRoD'd, so care is still important.

Believe me RRoD is still there, we have a Jasper thread at pinoyxbox.com and some of them has already experienced RRoD. I tell you the designer of the 360 should be shot, bec whatever changes MS does if the design is still faulty, the ailment can never be cured only remedied.
